BigHand wins a place on the UK’s Best Workplaces™ ranking

BigHand, a leading technology business, has been named by Great Place to Work® as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ in the Medium category (organisations with 50-499 employees) in their annual Best Workplaces™ ranking.

This is the first time BigHand has achieved this honour which distinguishes the company as having a highly engaged workplace culture.

Ian Churchill, CEO at BigHand comments: ‘We’re delighted to have been named ‘a great place to work’. Our culture at BigHand is built around mutual trust and empowering our employees. It’s all about the people – the BigHanders! The pride, passion, teamwork and fun is infectious and flows into our relationships with our clients."

A key practice at BigHand is the involvement and interaction employees have with clients. Staff are invited to the AnnualBigHand User Conference* and many other events throughout the year, where customers can see how BigHand clients are:

  • using the technology in their everyday lives;
  • hear success stories from client guest speakers and;
  • see the impact their efforts make.

It also provides a great chance for all staff to network with clients during the day and also in a more informal setting into the evening.

Kim White, BigHand Head of HR and driving force behind the application, says: “It’s such an honour to see BigHand on this year’s Best Workplaces™ list. It is a validation of the commitment to creating the kind of culture which attracts and retains the best talent, where people have pride in what they do and want to do their best. They say that if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. That’s what we aspire to achieve!"

Despite growing year-on-year in size, BigHand still manages to retain a strong ‘people’ culture. This environment has created a highly collaborative, motivated and fun business culture, which is the driving force behind its ability to attract and retain talent which helps drive business success.
