More than 530 guests joined in the fun at the 18th annual BigHand Conference yesterday, the company’s largest event in its 30-year history. 

Legal professionals and media members from across the UK gathered in London to attend sessions hosted by industry leaders, see the latest from BigHand’s product suite, and network with colleagues.

As profitability pressures rise, the event provided indispensable practical advice for forward-looking law firms. Data visibility, staff retention, and operational efficiency were major themes, with experts sharing hands-on experiences and strategies throughout the day.

More than 55 speakers took the stage at the one-day event, including operational leaders from firms like Freshfields, Arthur Cox, Womble Bond Dickinson and Norton Rose Fulbright. There were also insights from market-leading legal influencers like Dan Safran (Unbiased Consulting) and Caroline Hill (Legal IT Insider). Many sessions were standing room only as attendees packed into breakout rooms and workshops.

Ellis Watson, Executive Chairman and former CEO of DC Thomson, kicked things off with a brilliant keynote on fearlessly embracing change that earned equal parts laughter and applause.
