BigHand acquires continually growing Esquire Innovations


BigHand, a global leader in productivity software for legal professionals, acquired Esquire Innovations, a top provider of Microsoft Office integrated practice management software services and applications in March of 2014.

BigHand, a global leader in productivity software for legal professionals, acquired Esquire Innovations, a top provider of Microsoft Office integrated practice management software services and applications in March of 2014. Combining the tools from each company created a total legal productivity solution offering workflow, digital dictation, transcription, document formatting and styles best practices. With the integration of the Esquire suite of products complete, today the two companies announced that Esquire Innovations will be adopting the BigHand name going forward. The former Esquire Innovations suite of products will now be known collectively as BigHand Office.

As a result of the record year and the market potential, BigHand has significantly increased the investment in the BigHand Office team to further fuel development of their products. BigHand has appointed a seasoned leader for its California-based development team, Brett May, and over the coming months will be doubling the capacity of the team.

In addition to the new hires in development, BigHand has appointed Tom Barron to the position of Client Services Director – North America. Tom has been with BigHand for over eight years in various technical roles including software training, implementation, product development and cloud services. He will be responsible for the Client Services team across all BigHand products in the North American market, including support, implementation, project management and training and he will be based out of the BigHand Temecula office.

Along with Tom’s appointment, Judye Releford will be transitioning to a new role of Director of Client Development. Judye will be moving away from support management and into a global training and sales support role.
