BigHand named to the UK’s Best Workplaces for the second consecutive year


BigHand has been named by Great Place to Work® as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ in the Medium category (organisations with 50-499 employees) in their annual Best Workplaces™ ranking, for a second year running.

The ranking criteria, which is one of the most thorough available, uniquely comprises of both an in-depth Employee Trust Survey and an audit into the organisation’s management and HR practices. The award recognises the strength of a businesses’ leadership and the range of innovative, creative and effective HR policies that are in place which in turn creates a successful workplace culture.

BigHand have moved up 20 places on last year to be placed at number 28 in the list of the UK’s Best Workplaces™. Since last year, BigHand has continued to grow, with its recent acquisition of DW Reporting adding another 24 staff to the business. A thorough on-boarding process was put in place to ensure all staff were introduced to the business in an immersive and seamless way, and all staff are very much working as one team already.

A key practice at BigHand is the involvement and interaction employees have with clients. At the end of last year, BigHand put together another successful Annual User Conference*, which was attended by over 250 clients and prospects from firms and businesses of all sizes. This event, along with many other events throughout the year, provide staff with the chance to see how BigHand clients are using the technology in their everyday lives, to hear success stories from client guest speakers and see the impact their efforts make. It also provides a great chance for all staff to network with clients during the day and also in a more informal setting into the evening.

BigHand celebrated its 22nd birthday last year, and despite growing year-on-year in size, it still manages to retain a strong ‘people’ culture.
