With a total of 9 offices across the UK and 179 staff, the introduction of BigHand Speech Recognition was a smooth process. Secretaries welcomed the new way of working as they now had additional time to focus on more value-add tasks. Fee Earners quickly recognised the benefit of reduced turnaround times as the need for transcribing dictations was removed from the workflow. With the time saved, Chattertons were able to make better use of their skilled support staff. A dedicated Document Production team was set up to deal with all document requirements.

He continues: “Looking to the future, the biggest change for us will be the implementation of BigHand SmartNote, which will automate the filing of all Attendance Notes directly into our case management system, freeing up even more time and resource for the Document Production Team to focus on other tasks.”
