BigHand BlackBerry Edition wins 'Mobile Product of the Year 2008' at CNet Business Technology Awards
BigHand Mobile (Blackberry Edition) won 'Mobile Product of the Year 2008' at the CNet Business Technology Awards last night.
The CNET Networks UK Business Technology Awards are one of the most prestigious events in the UK IT calendar where over 500 elite guests gather together to celebrate all that is good about the technology industry. Held last night, the finalists including Ubuntu founder Mark Shuttleworth, RBS, BT, MessageLabs, Spinvox, HP, Orange and BigHand were honoured at a networking dinner in London’s famous Park Lane Hilton.
The ‘Mobile Product or Service of the Year’ category included as finalists:
- BigHand - BigHand Mobile (BlackBerry Edition)
- Electronic Media Services Ltd - i-MO
- LogMeIn - Rescue+Mobile
- Opera Software - Opera Mobile 9.5
- Orange - Orange Mobile Forms
BigHand technology was described at the awards: “BigHand Mobile (BlackBerry Edition) enables mobile users to send instruction instantly into the office workflow, enhancing document turnaround times, remote productivity and client service.”
The judges commented: “Phones are better for talking into than typing on, a fact no amount of usability sugar can sweeten. BigHand recognised this and has made working life easier for mobile users thereby enhancing productivity and client service.”
