WORLD EMERGENCY RELIEF
WER works across the world in response to the emergency needs of poor and vulnerable people. Their ongoing development work covers the regions of Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean Basin.
Gifts in Kind (GIK) are donated goods which the World Emergency Relief sends to overseas partners. In the developed nations there is a surplus of product such as food, clothing, medicines, medical supplies, equipment, educational material and other basic items, whilst in the poorer nations there is lack of most resources.
Through BigHand a law firm is able to send their old tape systems to WER when they move over to digital dictation. The World Emergency Relief (WER) ensures that full tests are carried out before shipment, so that equipment is working correctly and that all relevant operation manuals are sent with the shipment.
