Ten Top 250 law firms find their flow with BigHand3 Digital Dictation software

London, UK – 28 November 2006 - Ten of the ‘Top-250’* leading law firms in the UK have recently implemented BigHand3 Digital Dictation workflow software taking the number of law firms now using BigHand technology to over 400 practices worldwide. BigHand3 has been nominated as ‘Best of Breed System of the Year’ at the Legal Technology Awards 2007 after law firm clients reported six figure savings and widespread efficiency gains over recent months.

In an increasingly competitive UK legal sector, firms have finally tired of the significant productivity bottlenecks and financial penalties afflicted on them through the continued use of old tape based and first generation ‘standalone’ dictation equipment. The automated, flexible workflow of BigHand3 encourages firms to optimise existing resources, and where possible, eradicate any unnecessary overheads such as the use of temporary cover when secretaries are sick or on annual leave. The workflow impact on remote working is also significant in light of legislation regarding home and flexible working.

The ten Top-250 law firms installing BigHand3 most recently are:

 - Bermans
 - Chadwick Lawrence
 - Coffin Mew & Clover
 - Edwards Duthie
 - Flint Bishop & Barnett
 - Forbes
 - Hay & Kilner
 - Raleys
 - Smith Partnership
 - Warner Goodman & Streat

Sue Bowler, Partner, Coffin Mew & Clover commented:

''
Having carried out extensive research into the digital dictation market, and following the carrying out of trials, I am confident that BigHand is the right choice for us. The software is easy to use and enhances the flow of dictation within departments around the firm, resulting in an improved service for our clients.''

Colin Pendlebury, IT Manager, Forbes commented:

''Our efficiency is greater, and the quality of work delivered to clients has improved, as a direct result of installing BigHand3 technology. The transparency of workflow has encouraged positive competition between secretaries as they are now able to see what dictations each other are doing, and has made it easier for fee earners to track their work.''

Dena Clarke, IT Manager, Warner Goodman & Streat commented:

''
We are delighted with the new found flexibility made possible by the BigHand workflows. The users find the system easy to use, and it will play a key part in our process efficiencies programme.''
